of the longest-running European
instruments supporting cooperation
among scientists and research across
Europe.
The event will also benefit from
the input of the European Science
Foundation (ESF), an association of
80 member organisations devoted
to scientific research in 30 European
countries.
The Dutch Poultry Centre, a
grouping of Dutch companies
associated with poultry
production and
processing, will also be
bringing its expertise to
the event.
A number of other
cooperations and
conferences are also
planned for the days of the show.
The Wageningen Business School,
part of Wageningen University and
Research Centre, will organise an
international postgraduate course
in cooperation with the Katholieke
Universiteit Leuven and the World
Poultry Science Association. The
topic of the course, which will run
from April 18-20, will be “Nutrition
and Climate, new developments.”
Additionally, Rabobank, the o;cial
Knowledge Partner of VIV worldwide,
will present the latest trends and
developments in the animal protein
industry.
The Eggs! Conference will take
place in the Eggs! Pavilion, while
there will also be 12 technical
sessions, where companies and
organisations will o;er educational
presentations.
Eggs! was successfully launched as a special theme at VIV Aisa
2009, and the cooperation of
innovation partners VIV and WAT T
Publishing continues this year to
bring this special theme to Utrecht.
This year, the Eggs! theme
will be centred around the Eggs!
Pavilion on the exhibition floor.
Several activities will take place
at the pavilion to ensure that global
producers and buyers are able to
learn more about new products,
best practices and developments
in the egg industry around the
world. The pavilion will focus
on technical best practices and
innovation related to egg production,
handling and processing.
The Eggs! Pavilion will be an
interactive platform and will play host
to a conference on the afternoon of
Tuesday, April 20, and for the whole
of Wednesday, April 21. As well as
attending the conference, visitors will
be able to visit the Eggs! Museum.
Those interested in the egg
industry will also be able to benefit
from the Eggs! Information Lounge,
which will offer visitors the possibility
to gain more knowledge through
access to reports, magazines and
other literature relating production,
handling and processing.
To help get visitors in the mood,
prior to VIV Europe 2010, special Eggs!
newsletters will be mailed to those
with an interest in the industry.
“Inspiring international
innovations for future farming.”
will be present at VIV Europe 2010.
This o;ers to exhibitors and visitors
alike a clear division in areas of the
exhibition into the beginning, middle
and end of the production cycle.
These dedicated areas will contain:
Animal Health, Feed, Feed Additives
and Ingredients; Housing/Equipment,
Breeding; and, Slaughtering and
Processing.
The division has been made to
help visualise the various parts of the
Feed-to-Meat chain, enabling visitors
to more easily identify innovations
within each area.
