The now familiar VIV show motto
‘Feed to Meat’ covers the whole
supply chain – from animal
health and feeding, through housing
and equipment to slaughter and meat
processing.
Nowhere is
this slogan more
appropriate this year
than at the VIV Russia
2007 trade show,
according to VIV
Sales Manager, Rob
Bornstein. All these
elements interconnect
and this will be the
only show to discover
the whole supply
chain in Russia,
VIV Russia will a market that is
take place at showing spectacular
Moscow’s Crocus growth in its animal
Expo in May industries. And this
growth is set to continue as demand still
exceeds local supply of animal products
like poultrymeat and eggs in Russia.
VIV Russia 2007 will take place on
21-23 May 2007, at the ‘Crocus Expo’ in
Moscow.
More space, more exhibitors
The previous VIV Russia took place
at the same venue and it was judged to
be a great success. By comparison, VIV
Russia 2007 will cover 8000m2, more
than twice the previous net show area
and the numbers of exhibitors covering
slaughtering/processing and housing are
up by 11 and 24%, respectively.
This time, there will be around 230
suppliers of goods and services – many
of them international companies
– to the various animal production
industries. Just over half of the visitors
to the previous event were involved
in the poultry industry, so there will
be plenty to interest producers and
processors at the 2007 event.

out-dated and so not only is poultry
production growing in the country but
older farms and factories are in urgent
need of modernisation. Particular
interest is likely in slaughtering and
butchering equipment as well as
vacuum packaging and refrigeration of
products to supply this vast country.
“VIV Russia is an excellent
opportunity to see every step in the
supply chain and how it all fits together,”
commented Mr Bornstein.
The Crocus City Exhibition Center
(‘Crocus Expo’) comprises four halls.
It is located at the intersection of
the Moscow City Ring Road and the
Volokolamsk highway, and not far from
the Sheremetyevo International airport.
A conference programme is being
drawn up at the time of writing. The
latest information will be available on
the VIV web site.
